“Climate Warming” to me is preached like an End Time prophecy which says life on earth is being threatened by too many noxious gases in our atmosphere. If civilization doesn’t adhere to green energy protocols, and give up gas/oil/coal, then life on Earth as we know it is over.
I don’t think anyone would argue that developed nations aren’t doing enough to be good stewards of our seas, land and air. But I bristle when political entities make broad statements about life on earth, and negate the input of the ordinary citizen.
Proponents of green energy think the climate thesis is clear as day, but to the average citizen it’s often hard to grasp. Here are some things to think about re: “green energy’s” validity:
- Climate warming is hotly contested in every country. It’s not sought by citizens but is primarily promulgated by a few select elites in Western countries.
- The concept means different things to different people. There’s no climate guidebook that explains it clearly, and breaks down the phenomena from both sides of the coin.
- The proponents use terror tactics. In their info they keep telling us we have only a few years to make the change. I literally heard an announcer say the other day the deadline to change is in as little as 3 years!
- The major point not covered is: Even if this was a valid theory, there’s no mention of how the energy change can be completed in every country in the world in such a short time…. both technically and economically.
Practical & Economic factors –
Has anyone ever run up the costs of converting every home, car, office, factory, plane, truck there is? We’d also have to build a bazillion charging stations. Who’s paying for it? Can the average person afford an electric car, green home? Will it be feasible for the average commuter, truck driver to take time out of their schedule & stand in line for a long while & charge? No one has figured in the reality that to produce massive green energy it requires huge amounts of fossil fuel. Therefore, fossil fuel will never truly be eliminated.
In order to make green energy work all nations would need to sign on. It would be naive, unserious to suggest that green energy could be adopted by countries around the world! Nations can’t agree on budgets, borders or beers… how will nations with severe poverty, dictatorships, billions in population afford to retrofit their entire energy infrastructure in 5-10 years? Plus, there are other serious issues facing the longivity of mankind on Earth: leaders are now scrambling to save us from communism, nuclear destruction, starvation, disease, or one world ruler.
Radio host & author Erick Erickson wrote: “Whether they can admit it or not, secular environmentalism is its own religion. It has its own creeds, forms and worship, and eschatology. The path to salvation in secular environmentalism (climate change) is not based on the individual, but on society as a whole. While my salvation is through putting my trust in Jesus, the secular environmentalist believes the world is going to end because of climate change and unless we collectively change our ways, we will all die.”
The way I see it, the green apocalypse theory isn’t valid because the advocates don’t practice it. They jet around, have multiple homes without green energy, and have gas guzzling cars.
Solution –
The concept is faulty because the elites have over-looked the common sense solution: Fix the waste, emission and forestry problems instead of imposing a radical, insane plan that is expensive, and not thought out.
