Russia Is Losing… Why?

Do not let anyone tell you Russia is doing okay. I follow daily intel regarding Ukraine, Europe and Russia. The Ukraine war is mired in history, culture and despotic leaders, but is being won by new rules… stealth and drone rules

At he beginning of the war, Russia was positioned around Kyiv, on the Belarus border, but was pushed out by the quick thinking young Ukrainian army. Russia retreated from the West & North, but placed mines over their tracks in Ukraine making Ukraine’s advances tedious in the first summer due to the need to deal with un-mapped mine fields.

FAST FORWARD… some reasons why Russia is losing the war with Ukraine:

1. Ukraine has decimated well over 50% of Russia’s army, as per UA, U.S. & UK intel. Russia’s original working army has been replaced by many Sr Citizens, criminals & sickly men forced to fight. Hundreds of thousands of Russian males fled the country to escape the first mobilization leaving Russia with a frail pool of men to recruit from. Ukraine has benefited from Western training and weapons, and has yet to mobilize it’s youngest males. Plus this moral war has attracted many volunteers from the U.S., and elsewhere.

2. Putin clearly wanted to capture Kyiv and install a pro-Russian type like Yanukovich in charge. He was never prepared for a lengthy war and has gone through men and machines at a reckless rate. Having a prolonged war, instead of quick rout, has weakened Russia’s military and it’s morale greatly. The Russian military has a reputation for being drunk, undisciplined and untrained.

3. Economic sanctions have seriously hurt Russia to a degree. Spare parts to autos, planes, military equipment are growing sparse, forcing Russians to shut down air service, manufacturing of military vehicles, and use cheap Chinese cars. Competent workers are fewer because the workforce has been decimated. Many Russian companies have folded causing their stock market and ruble to plummet.

4. Increasing suicides & assassinations in Russia have caused many able-bodied men to flee. Instead of using competent men to run the country Russia has resorted to Putin’s relatives or poorly trained friends. Russian citizens have lost passport rights, and are denied entrance into many European countries. Russian workers in certain European countries are being monitored or evicted, as they promote a pro-Russian view.

5. The Russian Navy has lost over 1/3 of their fleet due to Ukrainian improvisational vehicles. Black Sea port ship repair, or officer training quarters have been destroyed by Ukrainian drones. Ukraine has NO Navy mind you, but they improvised sea vehicles called ‘water babies’ which carried explosives to Russian ships on a regular basis in the Black Sea, until Russia fled. Ukraine has also gained back much of the use of the Black Sea for their grain transports, thus defeating Russia’s war plans.

6. Many Western & Eastern European borders have been closed to Russians. In some cases Russian embassies have been closed for their outright spy ware on roofs, and their continued propaganda.

7. Putin has lost neighbors in the last 4 years, due to his imperialistic, genocidal aggression in Ukraine. Eastern Europe border countries know the track record of Russia, and understand they are next in line after Ukraine if they aren’t careful. Russia has desperately found a few new allies like China, Taliban, North Korea, Iran.

8. Russian military is beset with men not always experienced in military theory.Putin has elevated friends to head the military when they had no military experience Their military is far weaker than that of U.S. requirements. The Russian army has lost huge numbers of officers which leaves the troops leaderless and open to making stupid ground decisions. Social media has listed cases where Russian officers have used techniques of torture against soldiers to force them to fight. This has made some soldiers rebel against their commanders and kill them. This kind of rebellion and mutiny is not happening in Ukraine’s army!

9. Ukraine’s army is enjoying the benefits of thousands of supporters in the way of volunteers, donations of vehicles, drones, generators, food and warm clothing while Russian soldiers are left in battle without being allowed contact with family, or getting leave home. Most have their passports and phones taken away contributing to horrific loss of morale.
